If you noticed, those people who inspire you to become a better version of yourself are always very giving. That’s why to build your fan base, you need to start to give values that are beneficial to them, which was shared last week.
This week, let’s dive into the second step.
Second, Pleasant speech.
After your fans are so pleased with you, they want to know how to connect with you and follow your successful path in life, career or business. Thus, you can use pleasant speech to guide, coach and mentor them to cast away their doubts, and redirect their ignorance to support their purpose and dream in life.
As fans, they respond to your voice. It is an effective way to influence people, including likeability (which we shared previously, i.e. by generous giving), is the ability for you to speak and how you sound to people when you speak. If you have not done so already, it is important now to use your voice. Because your voice is the most powerful performance tool to motivate your fans.
There are two types of pleasant speech. First is about you. You show congruent with what you say and what you do. With that, your fans are more confident in you and your way of living is the successful way of life that they would like to follow. Second is about your fans. You share with your fans the benefits, values and happiness if they follow the way that you do to elevate their well-being. Well-being here can mean prosperity in their business, harmony in their family, and peace of mind that is free from suffering thoughts.
In other words, by having pleasant speech, you develop faith, inculcate discipline and foster hope that your fans can achieve what you have accomplished. After they are confident of your solution to their lives’ challenges, it is then time to move on to the third step.
