Is having a career more important than a high salary?

To answer the title of our blog – yes! It is imperative to have a career rather than a high-paying salary. A high-paying salary is good for a short period. It provides financial security. However, most of the high-paying jobs are dead-end jobs which involve no career growth.

You may be stuck in the same place for years doing this job, while people you know have gone through promotions.

It's more vital to enjoy your work than to obtain a large pay or an impressive title. You've probably heard the expression "Life is too short." You never know what or where tomorrow will bring. So why invest time in a job that makes you unhappy? Here are some explanations of why this is the ideal time to change careers.

You’ll feel more fulfilled

Your employment should be more than merely a means of support. You'll miss out on life if you don't appreciate what you're doing.

According to Philip Ryan, partner at Ipsos Strategy3, "As the distinctions between working life and personal life blur, a job is as much about personal fulfilment and progress as it is about a wage." People want to influence lives, especially their own, not just manufacture widgets.

Your success will follow you around and radiate from you, assisting you in various areas of your life.

You’ll be more productive

According to Patrice Rice, CEO and founder of Patrice & Associates, "If you are passionate about your profession, you are likely to take an active interest in studying every facet of the firm." This not only puts you on the road to success, but also makes it easier for you to endure the daily grind.

You’ll inspire others

Many people are too hesitant to pursue their passions and aspirations. Consider the conversation you would have with a friend or a family member. Would you stop them from following their dreams just because they involve risk? When you make that jump, you serve as an example for others.

Many people are too hesitant to pursue their passions and aspirations. As a working mother, being an example for my young girls is important to me, said Keli Coughlin, executive director of The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund. "My girls know that I love my career, that it's meaningful to me, and that I am proud of the work, even though there might be busy weeks that necessitate extra time at the office. As my daughters get older, I hope they are motivated to find a job they are passionate about and that makes them happy.

You’ll succeed

According to Coconut's Fish Cafe founder and CEO Michael Phillips, work ceases to feel like work when you are having fun at it. He said, "It makes it simpler to navigate through the ups and downs of business ownership."

You won't require someone to supervise your work or inspire you to perform at your highest level. You'll produce your best work since it's thrilling and natural.

Amir Zonozi, president and co-founder of Zoomph, asserted that when you are passionate about what you do, you are driven to push above your comfort zone. You want to be in a position where you are pushing yourself and competing with yourself to realize your goals.

Your happiness is the greatest motivation for doing what you love. Finding that location not only makes you happier but also more driven and better able to perform your work to the best of your ability. Not only will you be happy, but you'll also work harder.
